About The Book

Inheriting a beautiful house shouldn’t be such a headache!

Ex-army captain Fritz Bronnley is used to shouldering responsibility for himself and his team. But a devastating loss and a hefty tax bill threaten to de-rail his plans for the private security company he wants to run with his friends Grant, Luca, and Rylan.

The unexpected arrival of their first client is a welcome distraction from worries about the future. Staging an impromptu rescue and proving how well the four of them work together brings his worries right back. Until Grant, Rylan, and Luca point out that leaning on your friends is not a sign of weakness. It’s what friends are for.

In A Knight to Remember, a prequel to the White Knight Security series, you’ll meet owners Fritz, Grant, Rylan, and Luca before they meet, save, and fall in love with their significant others. A Knight to Remember is a story of courage, camaraderie, and the many places where one can find strength.

The Review

Four men who have known each other for ten years have come home from serving in the Army: Fritz, Luca, Grant and Rylan.

Fritz Bronnley’s heart is broken. He didn’t get to see his Aunt Isa before she passed away, or attend her funeral. He had a special love for her, a strong and caring woman.

He inherited a small estate from her – Knightdale Court. Fritz has plans for the estate, and his Aunt did too. Although the entire manor needed renovating, she had concentrated on getting the four bedroom wings modernized. Now, the manor offers a new start for Fritz and his friends, a place to put down roots and start a private security firm.

But a letter from his Aunt’s solicitor brings bad news. Knightdale Court’s value is much higher than he ever thought, and the inheritance taxes are unfathomable. Frits feels his dream slowly drifting away.

Luca is the youngest in his own family. A troubled youth, he made the decision to leave home and head for Knightdale Court, hoping to find a place to fit in. When he arrives, Fritz can tell something is bothering him, but he doesn’t pressure the young man to tell him why. When Fritz explains the dilemma with the inheritance tax, Luca throws a positive light on the situation, and encourages Fritz to wait on Grant and Rylan.

Before Grant and Rylan arrive, someone else knocks at the door. Simon Croft needs help. He knew Fritz’s Aunt Isa, and she often spoke to him of Fritz. Croft explains that his wife, Amelie, is missing. She’s a senior auditor for Clifton, Brown & Ciel. Luca grabs his laptop and starts to investigate the case. Fritz is unsure if they can help, as they are not an official company yet.

Once Grant and Rylan show up, they’re brought in on the case, one that no one wants to get the police involved in. Fritz, Grant, and Rylan will take the a chance and start surveillance, and Luca is responsible for communication from Knightdale Court. Even if they solve this case, what will the future hold for the four friends, who are ready to start new lives?

Keswick introduces her new series “White Knight Security” with this prequel. There’s a lot of potential here for some intriguing stories, as well as detailed descriptions of Knightdale Court, where the four friends are making their new home.

I really enjoyed A Knight to Remember, which introduces readers to the series’ main characters – I’m sure there will be some interesting cases to be solved.

Keswick is working on more stories for each of the characters. The first book for the “White Knight Security” series is “Grant”, coming out on January 5th, 2024. I’m excited about this new series… well done.

Hi, I’m Maryann, I started life in New York, moved to New Hampshire and in 1965 uprooted again to Sacramento, California. Once I retired I moved to West Palm Beach, Florida in 2011 and just moved back to Sacramento in March of 2018. My son, his wife and step-daughter flew out to Florida and we road tripped back so they got to see sights they have never seen. New Orleans and the Grand Canyon were the highlights. Now I am back on the west coast again to stay! From a young age Ialways liked to read.

I remember going to the library and reading the “Doctor Dolittle” books by Hugh Lofting. Much later on became a big fan of the classics, Edgar Alan Poe, Mary Shelley, Bram Stoker and as time went by Agatha Christie, Ray Bradbury and Stephen Kingand many other authors.

My first M/M shifter book I read was written by Jan Irving the “Uncommon Cowboys” series from 2012. She was the first author I ever contacted and sent an email to letting her know how much I liked this series. Sometime along the way I read “Zero to the Bone”by Jane Seville, I think just about everyone has read this book!

As it stands right now I’m really into mysteries, grit, gore and “triggers” don’t bother me. But if a blurb piques my interest I will read the book.

My kindle collection eclectic and over three thousand books and my Audible collection is slowly growing. I have both the kindle and audible apps on my ipod, ipads, and MAC. So there is never an excuse not to be listening or reading.

I joined Goodreads around 2012 and started posting reviews. One day a wonderful lady, Lisa Horan of The Novel Approach, sent me an email to see if I wanted to join her review group. Joining her site was such an eye opener. I got introduce to so many new authors that write for the LGBTQ genre. Needless to say, it was heart breaking when it ended.

But I found a really great site, QRI and it’s right here in Sacramento. Last year at QSAC I actually got to meet Scott Coatsworth, Amy Lane and Jeff Adams.
