I Ain’t Lyin’ is the third book in the sweet with knotty heat MM shifter mpreg romance series: GSC in Love. It features an omega lion shifter in trouble, an alpha dragn shifter sent to find the truth, a mystery to unravel, and a guaranteed happily-ever-after.

The Review

This one is a quick read, more so than the previous two books in the series. I liked the premise of the book with the alpha discovering his mate is the suspect in a murder case who can’t remember anything of the previous twenty hours.

I felt for Leo, waking in the circumstances he did and to then be accused of murder by the human police with absolutely no effort from them going into actually finding the culprit. Ashton steps in as soon as he arrives, and he is determined to clear Leo’s name.

Things obviously move very quickly with it being a short story, but it does feel rushed in a lot of places. Love is declared within hours of meeting, and then the case drags on for weeks with no leads before things kick back into gear. I have been enjoying getting to know all the characters from the GSC and their mates. This one is more separate from the previous two with no interaction with others that came earlier in the series, though there is mention of the training centre that has been established.

Another good story but I think this one could have been padded out a little more to add depth to the relationship and plot of the story.
