About The Book

A short, sweet, sapphic adventure with western vibes…

Sheriff Sarah Chen just wanted to keep the peace and live quietly in her little corner of the universe, but then something ancient and malevolent had the nerve to start stirring beneath the crust of New Montana.

Now the good Sheriff is on the case, but she’ll need more than a plasma nine-gun and a can-do attitude to whip this varmint’s butt…

The Review

A lesbian pulp novella with space western space horror vibes? HELL YEAH!

Sarah Chen is the Sheriff of New Montana, a human colony in the void whose fate collides with “Tech-Speaker” Grey Horse, a mysterious woman who has a connection to technology. Now Sheriff Chen has been drawn into a greater conspiracy and threat on their colony.

For such a short book, Terrorforming by Frankie Figs packs a punch. There’s not a lot I can say without spoiling the entire book, as it comes in at a trim 75 pages. The adventure was quick, sharp, and fun, and the chemistry between Sheriff Chen and Grey Horse was palpable.

My one quibble was that there were a couple of convenient leaps in logic for the characters, which would have benefited from a longer narrative to fill in the gaps, as well as allow a little more pacing for set up and pay-off – but as it stands, Terrorforming by Frankie Figs is a delightful, pulpy romp.

If you’re in the mood for a sapphic sci-fi novella and a fast-paced, tight action adventure, don’t miss out on this one. And the best part is that it’s the first in a series – the “Void-Born to Boogie” collection. What a title! I’ll be keeping an eye on future installments in this series.
