About The Book

This Christmas, love takes the form of a Daddy who’ll give a boy the care and protection he craves.

Nicholas
I’ve spent the last six years putting my dreams on hold, raising my little brother Aiden after our mom died. Now he’s off to college, but it still feels like I’m carrying the weight of the world on my shoulders. Then I meet him—Markus Webber, the new doctor at the senior living facility where I work. He’s thoughtful and caring in a way I can’t let myself rely on… but when he calls me Nicky, something shifts inside me. Maybe for once, I don’t have to be the one holding everything together.

Markus
After my last relationship fell apart, I needed a fresh start. Taking over the elder care home in this small town seemed like the perfect escape. What I didn’t expect was Nicky. The care assistant has a smile that lights up the whole room, but he puts everyone else before himself. The more I’m around him, the more protective I feel, even though opening my heart again is terrifying. The matchmaking seniors at the home sure don’t help—they seem determined to push us together at every turn. But can a Daddy like me, who’s been through his share of heartache, really be what the stubborn boy needs? And does he even know what he’s looking for?

Nicky is a holiday romance that blends small-town charm, a grumpy/sunshine dynamic, and a touching Daddy/Boy relationship, all set against the backdrop of a cozy senior living facility full of meddling, matchmaking residents.

A Daddy for Christmas 2 is a multi-author series. Holiday tales of lost boys in need of Daddy’s love and in some cases, a firm hand. Naughty or nice, it’s all in Santa’s hands now. So why not dive in and read each standalone and enjoy the holidays alongside our boys.

The Review

A story of two men, each with heartbreaking stories. They meet, but will they be able to put joy back into each other’s lives?

Nicholas Pearson is not looking forward to Christmas, since his younger brother, Aiden, is off at college and is not coming home. When Aiden was twelve, their mother died in a car accident while Nicholas was ready for college to become a nurse. With no other family, Nicholas decided to raise his brother, rather than him go into foster care. His dream of becoming a nurse was put on hold.

Dr. Markus Webber has transferred from a hospital in San Francisco to the small town of Juniper Hollow. His longtime boyfriend left him for someone with more money, and he found himself looking for a quieter life. He is the Medical Director at the senior living facility where Nicholas works as a CNA.

Nicholas is very devoted to the residents he cares for. When he sees one of his favorite patients, Beverly, with a new sore on her foot, he barges into Markus’ office, insisting that he check her out. That is the first time the two men meet, but it wouldn’t be the last.

Most of the story takes place at the senior living facility, where the residents don’t hesitate to interfere in Nicholas and Markus’ life. A few of them become matchmakers, pushing the two men together. Despite Nicholas’s fight not to give in, he is no match for some senior citizens who feel they know what’s best. After living a lifetime and seeing so muc,h they are determined not to let Markus and Nicholas lose the chance of a relationship.

This was a beautiful story and a different take on the Daddy/Boy relationship. Usually, the books revolve around the boys finding a daddy, but this one was more about a daddy wanting to find someone who would willingly be his boy.

Nicholas is an independent man, always looking out for others, so he knows nothing about the daddy/boy kink. Ignorant to the lifestyle, Nicky has to try to learn. But will he?

Five stars.

I am an avid reader the mother of 3 sons and grandmother to seven grandchildren. Since retiring I have been doing more reading while volunteering as a CASA worker. CASA is an organization that works with the family court system to ensure that children are in the best living situation. There are way too many children that get overlooked in the foster care system and I visit homes and make visits to the parents. I was born and raised in New York and my husband of 50 years and I live in Upstate New York.
