“This is your room,” Gabriel said, opening the door and standing aside to let Joel step past him. Gabriel sucked in a breath as they passed, Joel’s arm grazing across Gabriel’s chest. Joel stopped, feeling his shoulders briefly twitch with the electricity which had sparked from the contact, but he collected himself and stepped farther into the room. He looked around and couldn’t believe the room he was in. This was exactly the kind of room he would have picked for himself if he had more money to spare.
READ MOREThe bed was massive, it had to be a king, and it was decorated with a thick red comforter laid neat and tidy across it. There was a Technics turntable on a stand in the corner, which he recognized by the distinct round black legs, and a stack of records on the floor beside it. Farther along the wall, a five-shelf bookcase made of maple wood that looked like it was easily sixty years old overflowed with books that had been organized, and then stacked to fit when room was gone. A window in front of the bed looked out onto Beverly Hills and offered an amazing view of the city.
“This is your guest room?” Joel asked, shocked at the display.
“This is your room, for now,” Gabriel replied softly.
