About The Book
I Hear You follows the journey of Tyler, a devil-may-care, party boy mechanic who loves his job, his friends, and his faithful dog, but the thought of settling down is the last thing on his mind.
That all changes when he meets Gabe, an adorably dimpled, floppy haired deaf man who challenges him in ways he never imagined.
As Tyler starts to fall for Gabe, he realizes his carefree lifestyle may be holding him back from true happiness.
Will he be able to overcome his past and embrace love, or will his desire for freedom and the lure of the party scene prove too powerful?
This heartwarming and steamystory of love, self-discovery, and second chances includes scenes of hurt/comfort, found family, and the cutest doggone puppy love. It is a must-read for mm romance fans.
The Review
This is a sweetly spicy romance between party boy Tyler and Gabe, who owns his own dog training business and is deaf. They meet by chance in a coffee shop, and while Tyler keeps telling himself to friend-zone Gabe, they continue to run into each other at the dog park with their fur babies and then share dinner afterward.
Tyler is totally clueless, convinced that all he ever wants is to party and have no-strings sex. Until suddenly he doesn’t. Tyler is rolling through life, habitually skirting romance and skimming along the shallow end of relationships. Meanwhile, lovely, sweet Gabe is falling in love with him. Of course, this is a romance novel, so nothing is ever easy.
The characters are in turn sweet, sexy, angsty, and clueless. They are so relatable and realistic that it was easy to fall into this story and stay there until the end. I will say that The Misunderstanding trope is one of my least favorites, because it makes me want to yell at the characters to not be total idiots, but this one is very well written. And we get such a good sense of who Tyler and Gabe are that the progression of the story is very believable.
Well-written and engaging, with excellent characters, a great story, and a very satisfyingly sweet ending. Bonus points for having adorable dogs as Tyler and Gabe’s furbabies.

I’m an avid reader who loves pretty much all genres except math textbooks. As a kid, my parents exposed me to everything from fairies, hobbits, and dragons to the biographies of interesting people around the world, interspersed with poetry, plays, and music. Into adulthood, I spent a lot of years with my nose buried in various textbooks. Now, I read whatever grabs my fancy.
