How do you ask the biggest pop star in the Western world on a date?

When Kai “The Train” Reinhart, star defensive end for the Miami Cyclones, tells his teammate that he has a crush on Sterling Grayson, it’s just a joke. A drunken slip of the tongue, if you will. An innocent comment turns into the biggest adventure (or headache?) of Kai’s life when he gets a call from Sterling’s personal assistant’s assistant, asking if he wants to get on a private jet and fly out and meet Sterling in person.

It’s more than a little crazy, because Sterling Grayson isn’t just a hot guy—he’s a superstar. A superstar with a legion of crazy, obsessed fans (the #Graylings), a staff the size of an army, zero privacy, and a world tour that’s keeping him just slightly busy. Wherever Sterling goes, he ignites a firestorm of publicity. From the sun-drenched seaside of Miami to the Cliff Walk in Newport, from Los Angeles to London, the paparazzi are never more than a few clever steps behind.

As Kai navigates complicated personal drama on and off the field, he also has to contend with the less-savory realities of being Sterling Grayson’s significant other, like homophobic protesters, jealous teammates, and the pervasive worry that maybe Sterling’s deepest feelings are hidden behind way too many walls to overcome. Kai may be “football famous,” but he’s a fairly normal guy. Down-to-earth, loves his family. Loves his privacy. Loving Sterling might mean giving that last one up completely.

Over the course of a year, Kai’s going to learn how to woo the complicated man behind the mega-star. Or, at the very least, he’s going to learn the subtle, but explosive art of creating a media sensation.

Readers should note this book contains graphic adult content, as well as scenes of domestic violence (side characters) that some readers may find triggering.

One of the best MM sports romances in the game… get it? Ha. Sterling Grayson is a massive star and Kai Reinhart is his football playing hunka man. Over the course of a year they get closer, fall in love, and run from the paparazzi all around America and even the world.

The characters are so real and relatable that I couldn’t stop thinking about them. And this book was HOT. I mean… it took a while to get going in that regard, but once the lid was off, things were SPICY. 5***** for that alone. Loving, original, kinky… you’ve got it all.

Speaking of YOU, I never knew that a book could be written from that perspective??? It’s apparently second person narration. It took me a while to get used to it, but then I didn’t notice it at all. Props to the authors for pulling off a real challenge in that regard.

I can’t wait to reread this one. And apparently a sequel is coming out????

**********spoilers below***********

I usually hate a cliffhanger, but this one was handled really well and made me excited for the next book.

Also… that bathroom scene. *fans self* That’s all.
