The Mating Games gathering has arrived!
Finding ones mate is not always easy. Not everyone's mate is always the same species and the Council knows this, so they designed a way for all types of shifters and other paranormals to come together. Have some fun, meet new people, and if you are one of the lucky ones....find your mate.
Knowing that Councilman Troy is responsible for their friend's disappearance, and proving it, are two different things. However, Colby and Ian are just as determined to do that, as they are to figure out how to make their mating official.
Discovering that the councilman is using endangered animal shifters for his own purposes, pushes Colby's saber toothed tiger and Ian's giant golden crowned flying fox to change their approach, but not their determination.
The thing is, even with all they know, can they save Joop and the others and still prove that Councilman Troy is behind it all or will the Councilman make these two a part of his experiments first?

"Ricky! Derk! Wait!" Ian panted.
Ricky and Dirk could see the worry in their friends eyes as they both rushed to speak at once.
Holding up his hand, Derk said, "One at a time, we can't understand you."
Ian was bent from the waist, with his hands on his knees as he tried to catch his breath.
Colby wasn't much better.
Finally Ian swallowed a few times and said with a hoarse whisper, "Joo...Joop is mi...mi...missing."
"What do you mean missing?" Ricky gasped.
Colby took in a deep breath and let it out slowly, then said, "We went to the pond. There was blood. "
"It was Kahn's. I shifted and followed their scents mixed with some other shifters. Someone took them. I lost their scent at the beach area." Ian said a little calmer.
Ricky felt an electrical current of fear race through his system. He couldn't imagine what was happening to his friend and with panic in his voice he said, "We have to find him, Derk.We have to find Joop and Kahn."
"Do you think this has something to do with the council?" Colby asked.
Nodding his head, Derk said "I would bet my life on it."
"I don't think they've had time to get him away from the gathering, Ricky." Ian said thoughtfully.
Colby nodded in agreement, "The disturbance in the grass and trees looked really fresh."
"And with everyone here, it wouldn't be easy to sneak out two people." Derk agreed.
Ricky packed down his fear for his friend and said, "Okay, we go to the council together. Hear what the fuckers have to say..."
Shaking his head, Ian said, "I think that Colby and I should stay hidden. It wouldn't be good to have us all together, in case the assholes try something, but I agree, we have to hear what they want. Then we get your parents and mine to watch the council closely as Colby and I search for Joop."
"We should all search for Joop." Ricky said quickly.
Shaking his head, Ian said, "No. You and Derk have to look like a couple enjoying your mating. We can't let them know that we discovered Joopmissing. If they even get a hint of that, the council might do something and move them off the gathering lands and we might never find them."
Ricky was quiet for a moment and then finally nodded, "You're right. I don't like it, but you're right."
Sighing heavily, Ricky said, "Try and get close enough to the council area. Derk and I will see if we can get them to somehow give away where Joop and Kahn might be being held."
"You don't worry about us. Just keep yourselves out of their grasp." Ian said anxiously.
Derk hugged Ricky closely to him as he said, "The Council won’t risk trying anything with us as long as other people are around."
Ian nodded and then an idea came to him, if his widening eyes were any indication, "Try and get them to talk to you close to the wooded area. This way you are out in the open and it will be easier for us to listen in."
Ricky went to Ian and hugged him, "We will do our part. Please, as soon as you have what you think you need, go find Joop. We don't know what could be happening to him."
"We'll find him, Ricky. Now let's go do this. Let's find our friend." Ian promised.

Ok another cliffhanger!!!

lol Anyway this book is the continuing story of three friends, Joop, Ricky and Ian. How they met their mates and their back stories.

In this book we get more background on Colby and Ian. We follow them on their journey to find Ian's friend, Joop and his mate Kahn. Along the way we learn more about the evil being done.

Totally think Councilman Eagan should just each Councilan Troy for dinner.

A saber toothed tiger and a flying fox made for a wonderful couple in Cree Storms’ Unnecessary Roughness, The Mating Games #2. Colby and Ian lit up the pages with their wit and charm as they banned together with Ricky, Derk, and friends and family to discover the unscrupulousness of the council and save their friend Joop.

What I am enjoying about the series is that although the storyline will continue in the next book, each one still delivered an HEA. But I do recommend reading them in order.

The secondary characters, once again kept me laughing and thinking, ‘everyone needs parents like them’.

Ms. Storm delivered sensuality and sexiness, especially in the mating of Colby and Ian. Depth and intrigue accompanied the drama as the tale unfolded.

I am adoring the series and look forward to reading the next book.

About the Author

I was born in Fort Knox, Kentucky. I’m a military brat that travelled a bit overseas and throughout many parts of the United States. I finally settled in Las Cruces, New Mexico, where I eventually got married and then divorced. I was blessed with two fantastic sons. As they grew up and became young men chasing their dreams. I felt that maybe now was the time for me to do the same. That’s when I started writing. Never in a million years did I expect to meet the most wonderful man in the world, move to Quebec, Canada, and get married. However, that is exactly what happened. JP has introduced me to things like; canoeing, snowmobiling, four wheeling, and has taken me to some of the most beautiful locations. Ones that I had only ever seen on a computer or read about in books. I may miss my mountains and my boys, but have discovered that when you work towards your dreams, the future can be one filled with happiness and love. My boys are only a plane ride away, and Skype is a glorious thing. So I say, on to my next adventure…don’t be shocked to find it in one of my books.
