The Mating Games gathering has arrived!
Finding ones mate is not always easy. Not everyone's mate is always the same species and the Council knows this, so they designed a way for all types of shifters and other paranormals to come together. Have some fun, meet new people, and if you are one of the lucky ones....find your mate.
Knowing that Councilman Troy is responsible for their friend's disappearance, and proving it, are two different things. However, Colby and Ian are just as determined to do that, as they are to figure out how to make their mating official.
Discovering that the councilman is using endangered animal shifters for his own purposes, pushes Colby's saber toothed tiger and Ian's giant golden crowned flying fox to change their approach, but not their determination.
The thing is, even with all they know, can they save Joop and the others and still prove that Coun-cilman Troy is behind it all or will the Councilman make these two a part of his experiments first?

No, I'm not going without you." Joop said for what seemed like the hundredth time.
Kahn's frustration was evident, especially when he growled, "Yes, you are. I can't fit in that hole. You have to go."
"Can't you just shift into a bat or something? That way you'll fit." Joop said, just as frustrated as Kahn.
Kahn laughed, "Joop, vampires don't shift into bats."
Throwing his hands in the air, Joop hissed, "Why the hell do you guys not correct Hollywood? You don't change into bats, you not only can go out into the sun, but you must go into it, hell, I bet you can eat garlic and go to church if you wanted to."
Kahn took Joop into his arms and smiled as he hugged him closely, "I love pizza and pasta and although I have not been to a church in a very long time, I could go if I chose to."
Gently kissing his mate, Kahn said, "Listen to me, baby. I would shift and go with you if I could. The last thing I like to think about is you going into that forest, alone, with those two buffoons out there. The fact is, I can't and you need to do this. Go find your friends and bring back help. It sounds like there are small children here, and I have no clue who else, being kept against their will."
Joop knew Kahn was right, but he didn't like it. It didn't feel right to leave his mate behind. “Kahn, I don’t like it, and you are looking sick. Is there a problem?”
Smiling, Kahn said, “I’m fine right now. However, I will feel even better knowing you are out of here and safe.”
Kahn must have seen the indecision in Joop’s eyes, because the next thing Joop knew he was being held tight and being given a toe curling kiss. Then Kahn lifted his lips from Joop’s, whispering, "Now shift and bring back help."
Sighing, Joop nodded, saying, "I won't be gone long. As soon as I find my friends I am coming back here with an army."
Joop began to remove his clothes, ignoring the growls and pheromones filling the room. Once he was completely naked, Joop thought of his beaver and shimmered into his animal.
Kahn gently picked him up and held him close to his chest. When his mate started petting him, Joop almost started slapping his tail. Instead, he rubbed his head up and down on Kahn’s chest.
“You are a beautiful animal, Joop.” Kahn said quietly.
Joop snorted and Kahn growled, then said, “You and I are going to work on your self-esteem when this shit is over.”
Kahn began to rise in the air slowly and then gently placed him into the tunnel above their heads.
When Joop didn’t turn to leave, Kahn whispered, “Take your time and watch yourself. Stay in the tunnels as long as you can. We don’t know where Herb and Jimmy will be later.”

Dun dun dun.......!!!

That is what I heard in my head when I finished this book.

This is the story of the mating of Joop (beaver shifter) and Kahn (Vampire). Kahn did not have his head on straight when he first met Joop, but now that he has seen him again, he refuses to let him go. Joop was crushed that his mate did not want him. Now that he is back and a crazy councilman is jeopardizing their mating, he will do anything.

I love how the group of friends (and their parents, I mean who doesn't love Gladys!) band together to right the wrongs of this Councilman and will in the future.

The book continues the intrigue around Councilman Eagan and what he thought he knew about his family. Cree when is book 4?

About the Author

I was born in Fort Knox, Kentucky. I’m a military brat that travelled a bit overseas and throughout many parts of the United States. I finally settled in Las Cruces, New Mexico, where I eventually got married and then divorced. I was blessed with two fantastic sons. As they grew up and became young men chasing their dreams. I felt that maybe now was the time for me to do the same. That’s when I started writing. Never in a million years did I expect to meet the most wonderful man in the world, move to Quebec, Canada, and get married. However, that is exactly what happened. JP has introduced me to things like; canoeing, snowmobiling, four wheeling, and has taken me to some of the most beautiful locations. Ones that I had only ever seen on a computer or read about in books. I may miss my mountains and my boys, but have discovered that when you work towards your dreams, the future can be one filled with happiness and love. My boys are only a plane ride away, and Skype is a glorious thing. So I say, on to my next adventure…don’t be shocked to find it in one of my books.
