I loved A DIVIDED HEART, the newest book from SF&F author Kayelle Allen. Kayelle's books are always a joy to read, because the plot, voice, characterization, and romance all work exceptionally well. If you've read Kayelle's work before, know that this book features one of Luc's deshai from A STOLEN HEART, all grown up -- that being Brinn, of course. (A deshai is more or less an apprentice.) This is an added reason to adore this novel, mind you...getting to see Brinn as a teen/young adult in A STOLEN HEART on the periphery of things take a step forward toward becoming a teacher and foster-father in his own right was truly a treat.
