Jude stood up, shouting back, “Now hold on a minute. First off, I was only trying to lighten your mood, and second off, I had no idea you really did find one of your mates. How the hell was I supposed to know that?”
“I said it when we were laying on the fucking ground!” Lex shouted back.
Shaking his head, Jude’s voice rose even more, “No! You said you couldn’t be mated to a D.O.A. agent, not that you actually discovered you are!”
“Well that alone should have told you that I did!” Lex argued feeling his body temperature rise along with his temper.
“How? You ran off into the fucking woods with one of the maharishi’s Lex. When did you have time to even find one of your mates?” Jude snarled, slapping one of his hands on his hips, tapped his foot and looked at Lex with a raised brow.
Lex stepped forward, hissing, “When the stupid ass decided to follow Talpa and I into those fucking woods!”
Jude stopped all movement, his anger turning into surprise, “Wait! Solo followed you and that beast dragon…Solo? Are you saying Solo is your mate?”
Lex stepped forward using his index finger to jab into Jude’s chest, “Yes, and don’t call Talpa a beast dragon. He’s smart, sweet, and has feelings too.”
“He attacked Azul, Lex.” Jude stated firmly.
“Maybe so, but he had good reason. Azul let a killer get close to his soul bond, Jude. What would Smoky do to anyone...anyone that allowed that to happen to you or Casper? Do you think he would just say, “Oh well, no one got hurt, job well done?” No, he would find the beast and kick his fucking ass, that’s what he’d do and that’s exactly what Talpa did for his soul bond.” Lex stated just as firmly then swiftly moved away when he felt his cock getting hard. What the hell? I am not getting turned on by this. What the fuck is wrong with me?
“That better not be an invitation because this party is not accepting more guests.” Jude said pointing at Lex’s buldge in his pants.
Lex felt his body temperature rising, shaking his head, rasping, “It’s not.”
“Then what the hell is going on because I have to tell you, that looks like a very bad thought process in your pants.” Jude said backing up further.
“We’d like to know what’s going on as well. What is all the yelling about?” Pit asked from behind Lex.
Turning quickly, Lex opened his mouth to answer then about swallowed his tongue. Standing just behind Pit was another man. He stood at least half a foot taller than Solo and where Solo had beautiful light grey eyes, this man had the most tantalizing dark skin, amazing light blue and Lex felt as though they could see deep within Lex’s very essence. And his scent…oh fuck, that ocean breeze mixed with salty earth had Lex wanting to shift into his cat, lick the man’s bald head then turn and lift his tail. “Oh shit!”
The man smiled, showing two very sharp fangs, whispering, “Well hello, kitty cat.”
Lex’s eyes went wide. “You can…you can smell me?”
The man walked forward, whispering, “Oh yes, I can definitely smell you…mate.”
