Sometimes, the best way to overcome differences — is to embrace them.
Quinn:
Nothing is more important than family. Someday I’ll have my own, if I can ever find the right guy. For now, I'm concentrating on my career and a promotion. That is, until my company hires a hot-shot with the right credentials to snag the position.
I should resent him, but Tadhg Byrne is talented. And gorgeous. And though my ASL is pitiful, it means I’m the most “qualified” colleague to partner with him. Or so my boss says. So I guess I’m about to do myself out of a job.
Tadhg:
After a nasty breakup with my manipulative ex, I returned home to Seattle to lick my wounds. I’m done with relationships. From now on I’m focusing on my career.
There are just a few issues with that.
It’s not that easy for a deaf man to succeed in a hearing world, even with the right degree and experience.
Quinn MacDougall—my good-natured coworker. He’s incredibly talented, driven, and distractingly handsome.
Quinn’s hearing, which is the biggest problem of all. How can someone who isn’t deaf ever truly understand and accept me?
Embrace Me is a low-medium angst, contemporary MM romance about language barriers, loving but demanding families, crappy bosses, and sexy guys in speedos. It contains no cheating, and a guaranteed Happily Ever After.

Roger Robb on Amazon wrote:Beck has given us another book in their amazing Love in the Pacific Northwest Series. I didn't think I could love the MacDougal clan more than I did after reading Save me, but now I really want Ma and Da to adopt me and welcome me into their fold. This world needs more parents who accept their children and their children's people just as they are and will do anything within their power to make sure they are all successful, healthy, and safe.
I couldn't put this book down! I love the relationship between Tadhg and Quinn. The give and take and their desire to understand each other's POV tugged at my heartstrings and kept me turning the pages for more. This is definitely going into my reread pile!
Maud Allen on Amazon wrote:Here’s another rare story that features a Deaf guy as a MC! I was glad to be able to read this story. It was bittersweet because Deaf people have been portrayed poorly either on TV, in the Movies, or in print. In this one Tadhg, the Deaf character happened to be an awesome architect for a firm in Seattle. This is an indication that Deaf people do have brains and know how to use them. It is the mainstream society that doesn’t give us the benefit of the doubt on our abilities to function. Also, it provides the reader a glimpse into how a Deaf Gay lives in the hearing world. The author did a good job with adding aspects of what helps Tadhg with functioning such as equipments for the Deaf. I think it would be awesome if it would be made into a Gay Hallmark TV movie where you would see American Sign Language being used in conversation and things like how we navigate when there are audio around us.
MMRomanceReviewed dot com on Amazon wrote:I was lucky to receive an ARC of this book. It was totally different from anything I recently read. Tadhg has moved back to Seattle after a horrible break up with his ex. His ex was a manipulative SOB who was emotionally abusing him. He packed up and went home. He is an architect who is hired on at a boutique firm. Did I mention that he is deaf?
On his first day at work, he decided to stop at a coffee shop for coffee. He struggles to order and a gorgeous man steps up and signs for him. Thankful, he heads to his new job where he meets Quinn. He is an architect and his coffee house savior.
Quinn is mesmerized by his new coworker. He is an amazing architect and they realize that their is some strong chemistry between them. They start building a friendship that turns into something different. Something strong but Tadhg has doubts about a hearing person having a relationship with a deaf person. They struggle with the ups and downs of a relationship. Quinn struggles with learning ALS and keeping up with the demands of his large family.
Their chemistry is smoking hot and I really enjoyed watching them navigate their relationship. There were ups and downs. I loved Quinn’s mom and dad. They were awesome. I look forward to the next book in this series.
Embrace Me is a beautiful love story with two amazing characters, a heap of angst and some kindle-melting steam. Tadhg has just gotten out of an abusive relationship and is looking for a fresh start where he can be himself. Quinn is the guy that everyone calls when they need help at the last minute... and their meet cute involves Quinn trying to step in and help Tadhg, who is deaf, communicate with someone in his favourite coffee shop... and they meet again minutes later when they find out they now work together!
Embrace Me is well paced, with an instant connection, a slow build to high heat, a dash of relationship angst and a recurring villain - Tadhg's ex-boyfriend who doesn't seem to understand the word "no"
Not being deaf or hard of hearing, I can't speak to how the character is portrayed, but I did appreciate the way that Beck chose to incorporate what was signed into the text to flow seamlessly with spoken word by changing the quotation marks. It made for a smooth and connected read for this reader.
