The general’s voice on the answering machine meant only one thing, Wyl was getting called back into the Marines. When a cybercriminal in Ireland works on a scheme that could cripple the world’s finances, Wyl’s cybersecurity skills are needed. Under the guise of an extended honeymoon, he and Rod must ferret out the criminal and stop him before he succeeds. But while in Ireland, they soon discover there is much more than a simple crime. Their lives are in danger and stopping the criminal will take more to survive than they expected. Wyl promised they would celebrate their first Thanksgiving on the ranch as married couple, but first, they’ll need to make it out of Ireland alive.

Excerpt:

The general eyed them both. “The top-ranking official of An Garda Siochána, the Irish national police force, was notified that Ireland’s banking system had been hacked. The government entity overseeing the Irish financial system noted that all banks were queried at the same exact moment. It would be doubtful that individual account holders of separate banks would seek a balance inquiry simultaneously. Although they could find no evidence that funds were withdrawn, the breach proved to the hackers that the system was vulnerable. The Irish government hesitated to block bank access because that would lead to major disruption for banks and customers. They have not identified the source but narrowed the list of potential suspects to one individual. Concrete evidence connecting him to the crime or uncovering the code he used to hack the system is challenging. They need an expert in cryptography and Wyl…you are the best in the world.”

Reviews of the first two books in the series (Unexpected; The Outing) have been great.

About the Author

Award-winning Texas author. Born and raised in the Lone Star State. Reading (and listening to audiobooks) is one of my favorite pastimes, especially gay romance. I live in the beautiful Texas Hill Country northwest of San Antonio with my precious little dog Missy. I'm retired, but I went back to work because I got bored. I am a widower (my husband of 20 years passed in 2004) who is surrounded by good friends and good times. I spend many hours laptop-in-lap working on my next book. I hope you enjoy the fruits of my labors.

My novel Red Truck (just published) placed third in the 27th annual writing contest of the San Antonio Writers Guild. My novel Husker (yet unpublished) placed second in the San Antonio Romance Authors Emma Merritt contest in 2016, and my novel Classmates (yet unpublished - due out Summer 2023) placed third in that same contest.

I have one published non-fiction book for which I was a co-author: "How the Internet of Things Is Changing Our Colleges, Our Classrooms, and Our Students" (Rowman & Littlefield, 2019), and one short story, "Use By", published in SoUneque magazine, Winter 2021 edition.
