Beau Lethe, one of the original Hellhounds created by Lord Hades, enjoyed his visit with packmate Java and his new mate well enough, but there was something tugging at his hound and soul sending him back to New York and within days of his return, he found out what it was - the sweetest little Arctic wolf shifter anyone could ever hope to meet, all wrapped up like a blanket burrito. The only issue was, Beau was sure his mate would reject him when he realized Beau wasn't like the other hellhounds.
Prince Blue Watson insisted on everyone calling him Blue. His first name stemmed from his mother's dreams, not an actual title, and his real last name was unpronounceable. Sleeping rough for six years, mostly in his wolf form, Blue did his best to fend for himself on the city streets, swapping smiles for change from strangers. Until he smiled at the wrong person and ended up wrapped in a blanket and suspended from a ceiling. Even he had to admit things were looking a little dark, until he heard a sexy deep voice sitting at the table underneath him.
Blue's mom had a lot to answer for, giving him such a misleading name, and Beau's got a few problems of his own between keeping his secrets from Lord Hades, and trying to keep his precious mate safe. Cops that aren't cops. A disappointed god. Parents with weird ideas. And let's not forget Jake, the grumpy bear. If Beau and Blue are to have an HEA, they are going to have to work with their friends to make it happen.
Precious Blue can be read as standalone although reading Collar and Scruff (currently a free read on Your Book Boyfriend's Boyfriend giveaway 2022) and Better Than Sweets (Available on Amazon and wide) will help you get an understanding of the world and the back story of the hellhounds.
Please note that while most of the plot lines in the story are resolved by the time you reach the epilogue, there is one short plot line that was introduced in the last few chapters that will be resolved in the following book. The epilogue also introduces the next hellhound in this series.

“You have a cleaning crew and a housekeeper?” Still holding onto Beau’s neck, Blue looked around the room as if seeing it for the first time. Then he swallowed hard. “They’re not paid for with ill-gotten gains, are they?” His voice had dropped to a whisper. “Only, when you’re doing shady things, you can’t trust anyone. Your staff could be undercover, from the police, or the tax department. One word said in the wrong ear, and you could be looking for bail money.”
“This is because of my jacket, isn’t it.” Beau tried so hard not to laugh.
Blue nodded, his eyes wide. “I need to look out for you, seeing as you don’t appear to be doing it for yourself. I don’t want you getting into trouble with the law.”
READ MORE“You’re such a precious, Blue.” Beau gave up the struggle and started to chuckle as he tried to explain. “I promise you I don’t do anything that would get me or you into trouble with the law. Lord Hades wouldn’t allow any of his hounds to do illegal things on earth. I do belong to a motorcycle gang, yes, but it’s more like a pack. We help people who are in trouble, keep drugs off the streets, help find missing youngsters, and things like that. The patch is to show we are part of a group, and yes, it does intimidate people like pimps, drug dealers, and the like, but it’s meant to, can’t you see?”
“The patch is like a front? A cover?”
“I suppose so, yes.” Beau nodded. “But honestly, if I caught any of my guys doing illegal shit, I’d bury them myself. Hellhounds are meant to fit in with mortals, not give them more problems.”
Sitting back on his pert little butt, which Beau noticed was situated over his crotch area – and things were actually moving down there – Blue dropped his hands until they were resting on Beau’s shoulders. He seemed adorably serious. “I’m not suggesting you are lying for a second, my wonderful mate,” he said. “I do know mates can’t lie to each other and you wouldn’t do that to me. Finding teenagers, helping people in trouble, and driving off drug dealers are very commendable things to do. But it’s not a way of making a living. The overheads on this house must be huge. I have to ask, seeing as my grandmother isn’t here to do it for me, do you have a sustainable income that will allow you to keep me in the manner in which I’m accustomed?”
Beau leaned back enough so he could meet Blue’s beautiful blue eyes. “Are you serious? You were homeless yesterday.”
“I wasn’t accustomed to that. It just happened.”
Oh, dear. Beau was killing himself laughing inside. He’d never felt anything like the emotions Blue caused in him – not for so long. It was so wonderful, almost freeing. “How about I whip into the bathroom and take care of matters there, and then put some clothes on. Then we can both go down to the kitchen, find some food, and you can explain how you became homeless, and I’ll explain how my gang works and why you won’t get into trouble because of it. Deal?”
“Deal.” Blue pouted. “I suspect you’re laughing at me.”
“I suspect I probably am, but that’s only because you’re adorable and you being here makes me happy.” Beau could say that in all honesty. The fact that his little arctic wolf thought he needed protecting and from the law at that, gave Beau a warm glow inside.
