The Vermilion Pursuit

A Marco Fontana Mystery

by Joseph R. G. De Marco

The Vermilion Pursuit - Joseph R. G. DeMarco - Marco Fontana Mysteries
Part of the The Marco Fontana Mysteries series:
Editions:Paperback

In the fifth book of the Marco Fontana Mysteries, Marco is thrilled to spend time with his seldom-seen uncle, Luciano. Their reunion, however, turns deadly. Luciano is in a tough position as chair of a contentious committee which will decide the authenticity of a purported Botticelli. Battle lines are drawn and tempers flare. Before long, Luciano is discovered standing over the body of Morgan Cooper, his old enemy and committee rival. The police focus on Luciano forcing Marco to prove his uncle’s innocence. Complications like the informal competition over forgeries by Vermilion and the contest for a prestigious museum directorship may play a part along with the supposed Botticelli—making the search for the killer seem impossible. At the same time, Marco contends with knotty personal issues and problems among his friends and members of his male strip troupe. Marco juggles everything but will he be able to save his uncle before he’s arrested or will The Vermilion Pursuit claim another victim?
