You’ve Got Me Now

by Hollis Shiloh

Dating is complicated for a fox shifter on the demisexual spectrum.  In fact, Tim has kind of given up on it.  He devotes himself to his hobbies—books (and arguments about them) and running a forum for his favorite TV show.

When an interesting new neighbor moves in, he wonders if something might eventually develop between them.  That question is quickly dashed when his best friend instead falls for the man.  Tim resigns himself to the usual—being forgotten about by his friends because of dating and sex.

Ross, his neighbor's friend, shows up angry that he's been forgotten, too.  Tim and Ross strike up a conversation.  Wolf and fox shifters don't tend to get along very well, but these two have an easy chemistry from the beginning.

Ross needs a fake date for his ex's wedding, and Tim offers to go with him.  Why not?  It sounds fun.  What starts off as a small favor gradually becomes friendship.  Could it grow to more?
