Hey all, These last few weeks, we took a big step forward in our long-term strategy with the introduction of our filter search, allowing visitors to narrow down on just the books they want. Today the book page filters should get prettier. 🙂 I thought it would be fun to share some of the other changes coming down the pike – no dates on these yet, but our developer is working on them. –Negative filtering (ie: I don’t want to see…) –Filtering books by retailer (great for Payhip or KU fans) –Featured retailer link – Authora can let readers know where they make the best return –Pop-up synopsis for book … Read more

Hey all, Our long awaited new feature is here! We just launched our filter search on Monday – you can play with it here: https://www.queeromanceink.com/filter-search/ It’s a great new way to zero in on exactly the kind of books you want. Please check it out, and if you have any questions or issues with it, email them to scott@queerscifi.com. We will be rolling out filtering and sorting on the various book pages (by genre, by pairing, and by identity) shortly. Hey all, Time for the weekly check-in. 🙂 The site continues to grow – we just hit 250 authors, and will soon have 1,100 books in the directory. Last week, we updated to version four of the library plugin we use as our site foundation. There were a few small bugs with the upgrade, but in the end it resulted in a great speed bump on the site, We made a few more tweaks that helped as well, including adding pagination to the book pages, so you don’t have to load hundreds of books at a time. Hey all, Just popping in for our weekly update on the QRI site, or Q-Rink, as the hubby calls it. 🙂 We just topped 900 listed books, and will probably hit a thousand this weekend – phenomenal growth in just five weeks, thanks to the wonderful authors on the site. We’ve also added our first ad, sorted out some site slowness problems, and plan more speed optimization to come. Next week will likely see our upgrade to Version Four of the the books plugin we use, which will add a few things but is more of a back-end update.
